Terms of Use
Bowrly is operated by [Your full legal name] (ABN [ABN]), a sole trader in Victoria, Australia ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Bowrly you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines.
1. What Bowrly is
Bowrly helps you discover Australian brands, save pieces, get size and style suggestions, and keep up with brands you love. We are not a shop: we do not sell products, take payments or handle orders. When you buy, you buy from the brand on its own website, under its terms.
2. Who can use it
You must be 16 or older and able to agree to these Terms. One person per personal account. Business accounts (brands and influencers) must give accurate details, and brand accounts must be authorised by that brand.
3. Your account
Keep access to your email secure; sign-in codes are sent there. You are responsible for activity on your account. Accounts created without an email ("Skip for now") cannot be recovered if you sign out.
4. Prices, products and advice
- Prices, stock and offers come from brands and can change. We show when a price was last checked, but the brand's site is final.
- Size advice, fit summaries, "goes with your wardrobe" and AI style suggestions are guidance only, based on what members and brands tell us. Check the brand's size chart.
- Fit notes and reviews are members' own opinions.
5. How we earn money
Some links to brands are affiliate links: if you buy, the brand may pay us a commission, at no extra cost to you. Paid partnerships, gifted items and ads from businesses are always labelled. Brands may pay to send Updates or promote content; this never changes our size advice or what we label as a match for you.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post, send or upload. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show, adapt (for example, resize) and distribute it within Bowrly and in promoting Bowrly, for as long as it stays on Bowrly. You must have the rights to what you share, and it must follow our Community Guidelines.
7. Business accounts
- Mark every sponsored post, gifted item, paid partnership, affiliate link, review and ad with the correct label. You are responsible for complying with Australian Consumer Law and the ACCC's guidance on influencer marketing and online reviews.
- Products you link must be real, available from an Australian brand, and described accurately.
- Updates you send to followers must be accurate, identify you, and must not be misleading. Followers can mute you at any time.
8. Updates and your Bowrly address
You authorise us to receive, store and sort emails sent to your Bowrly address and show them in Updates. Brands that email you remain responsible for their own emails and for your consent to receive them; use the brand's unsubscribe link to stop them at the source.
9. Things you must not do
Misuse Bowrly (spam, scraping, automated accounts, fake reviews or fake fit notes), break the law, infringe others' rights, impersonate anyone, harass people, or try to get around our security or moderation. More detail is in the Community Guidelines.
10. Moderation and ending your account
We may review, hide or remove content and limit or close accounts that break these Terms or put others at risk. Where it is safe to, we will tell you why. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
11. Our intellectual property
The Bowrly name, bowerbird logo, design and software belong to us. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.
12. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your rights about products you buy are with the brand that sold them.
13. Liability
Bowrly is free and provided in a pilot stage. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for brands' products, prices, delivery or service, or for content posted by other members. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will tell you in the app before significant changes take effect; continuing to use Bowrly after that means you accept them.
15. Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Email hello@bowrly.au.
